  • Waders

Last week there was a change in the weather – some rain and wind from NE. In the mornings there were passerines by the Lake vesijärvi – Yellow Wagtails, Tree Pipits, Swallows and Martins. There were also waders migrating but I had busy times at the office. I still managed to see Caspian Tern one morning. Right now I should be birding by the lake and by the fields but…

Autumn is coming slowly closer and I am slowly reaching the 200 species goal. Lately I have got two new year ticks. I have never found Great Egret before but now I found TEN at the same time! I have made only few trips with bicycle including one night cycling but that was just a waste of time. The days and nights are quiet so you have to wake up at 4 Am to…

So it’s already July and I have just relaxed and only shooted some videos in my patch. In Central Europe it is hot and lately in Scandinavia there have been only two days when then winds have been blowing from south. It’s been rather chilly. The warm winds might have brought some Common Quails to nearby fields so I have to do some night riding. At least one Savi’s warbler…
